Who Plays Jeff Webber on General Hospital?
Back in the day on GH, who’s playing Jeff Webber was someone totally different. Richard Dean Anderson (MacGyver) originated the role and played it from 1976 to 1981. With his name coming up over and over in the past few years, his return was much needed.
However, Anderson retired from acting, requiring General Hospital to recast the role. They turned to the talented William Moses, who’s not playing Jeff. If Moses looks familiar to you, that’s because he’s been in many popular TV shows.
From 70s series like The Love Boat and Fantasy Island, his career spanned decades. He had recurring roles in a series of Perry Mason TV movies. Long before he was cast as Jeff on GH, he did a stint as Keith Gray on the prime-time soap Melrose Place.
Other work of Moses includes JAG, Touched by an Angel, The Secret Life of the American Teenager, and a stint as a cop on How to Get Away with Murder. Now William Moses plays Jeff Webber on General Hospital.

As a new doc at GH, Jeff Webber married to Monica Bard (Leslie Charleston), AKA Monica Quartermaine. He later lost her to his brother Rick Webber and turned to Heather Grant (AKA crazy Heather Webber) on General Hospital.
After losing Monica and knocking up Heather, Jeff turned to drink and drugs, then tried to shoot himself. He later found out he was the son of the legacy character Steve Hardy. Jeff got back with Monica, but Heather’s pregnancy was a problem.
So, he asked her to abort the child. She didn’t, and that’s how Jeff had his oldest child, Steven Lars Webber (Scott Reeves). On General Hospital, Dr. Webber was a total ladies’ man who had flings and affairs galore and tons of drama followed.
When Richard Dean Anderson left the GH in 1981, he cut ties with Heather and took their son Steven Lars with him. He later married Carolyn Webber (recast Denise Crosby). They had two children, Sarah and Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst). But he kept cheating…
Modern-Day Webber Storylines – Liz’s Daddy Drama on General Hospital
Now, General Hospital fans anticipated this return for a couple of years now. It came out several years ago that his cheating spawned another child — that’s Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig).
He cheated with Naomi Dreyfus around the same time his wife had Liz. The half-sisters are very close in age — just two years apart. And now, it came out that Jeff also cheated with Reiko Finn (Mela Ihara). This guy just can’t keep it zipped!
And after that bout of cheating, Jeff and Carolyn tampered with Liz’s memories and then abandoned her in Port Charles on General Hospital. Now that Liz has her memories back, is there any chance she’ll reconcile with her dad and let him back into her life?
