General Hospital Alum Mark Lawson Diagnosed With [THIS] Shocking Disorder, Says Life Has Changed Forever
The General Hospital alum had opened up in December 2022 that he had been diagnosed with ADHD. For the uninitiated, ADHD is short for Attention-Deficit/ Hyperactivity Disorder. He recently shared another update with his fans via Instagram. Mark posted a selfie video of himself that he recorded in his car and hashtagged it “Therapy Thursday.” In the caption, he shared that he had a gentle but profound moment. Mark reflected that as children, we listen to lessons a gazillion times before we take them in as a part of our makeup.
General Hospital Alum Has A Profound Insight Regarding Life
The General Hospital actor added that as an adult, if we can learn to remain open and receptive, then those moments will still speak to us. He admitted that ever since his diagnosis he has been able to absorb those lessons a lot more. Furthermore, he added that it has allowed him to be able to let go of so much guilt and shame. Moreover, he is now able to be more present in the ongoing moments of his life. Mark pointed that the insights he has gained are very personal and at the moment he doesn’t feel ready to share them all.
However, he insists that he is finally able to accept himself, as earlier he was always afraid of accepting himself as the beautiful mess that he is. The General Hospital star says that his insights have made him the most authentic version of himself, and that’s all the wants. Mark’s profound revelations were triggered when he made a double run to his children’s school as his daughter forgot her backpack. He shared that somewhere along the drive, the thoughts hit him. And a lot that he had been struggling with since the start of his career started to make sense.
