Finally! General Hospital’s Brook Lynn and Chase Can Have Their Wedding Now That [Spoiler] Is Returning

It’s been a delight to see the Cerullo family grow once again in the past year of General Hospital. For some time, poor Brook Lynn was floating around town with just her dad’s family, but that all changed when Rena Sofer brought Lois back to Port Charles. After that, we got to see Ellen Travolta bring Gloria back, giving us a chance to see three generations of Cerullo women together. And now, the show’s shared, we’re going to see Lois’ dad, Carmine Cerullo back in town for the first time since 1996!
Carmine popped up here and there between 1994 and 1996, keeping an eye on Lois with wife Gloria and seriously questioning their daughter’s relationship with a musician like Ned. In the end, of course, it all worked out (even if Ned and Lois didn’t) and they got a granddaughter in Brook Lynn. And now, that granddaughter is getting married, which of course means Grandpa Carmine has to come back to Port Charles!
During his original run, though, Carmine was played by John Capudice. This time around, George Russo will be taking over the role. And though this is his first soap, Russo’s appeared in fare like Showtime’s Shameless and YouTube series The Mamaluke where he played a fellow named Frankie Three Fingers. In other words, we have a feeling he’ll slip right into the Brooklynite Cerullo family.
Look for him to debut on May 15, which, if we’d have to guess, will probably be around when we get Brook Lynn and Chase’s big wedding as well. And after all the build up this week on the modified wedding gown, we can not wait to see what it looks like… and see the happy couple say “I do” as well, of course!
Now, we’re just waiting for word that Travolta will be brining Gloria back in time for the wedding and all will be right with the world of Port Charles!
