General Hospital: Jordan Ashford’s Recovering
GH doctors sent Jordan to a clinic in Albany, New York last year. We last saw her in September of 2021. As fans may recall, she only has one kidney. And she was close to renal failure after a near-death experience.
Jordan left after a tearful goodbye with family and friends. But the character wasn’t killed off. So, the door is left open for a return. And now, her character was just name-dropped which means a recast may be ahead.
Now, Jordan Ashford is still remembered in Port Charles, as her loved ones talk about her. In a recent episode of General Hospital, her son TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) spoke to his mom on the phone.
He told domestic partner, Molly Lansing (Haley Pullos), how well Jordan was doing. He said her recovery went better than expected. So, it looks like she will be home soon. Both TJ and Molly were thrilled with the news. They will be glad to have her back.
What’s Next for Jordan?
Jordan’s life will be slightly different when she returns to Port Chuck. First, she’s now divorced from Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner). Second, Curtis moved on and is with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr).
The two are very happy and plan to move into a new place together. Will Jordan cause trouble for the happy couple? You may recall that Jordan Ashford knows a secret that Portia’s holding.
And it’s one that could wreck things with Curtis. She whispered it to Jordan in the basement after both were gassed. But, she hasn’t revealed it. Some General Hospital spoilers promised it wouldn’t come out until she’s back.

And Ms. Ashford could get a new/old love interest. Now, Shawn Butler’s (Sean Blakemore) an obvious choice. He’s her one-time love and father of TJ. There could be a romantic reunion in her future.
Also, Jordan Ashford needs to find a new career for herself on General Hospital. Because she’s no longer Police Commissioner. Mac Scorpio (John J. York) took over the position and might stay put.
General Hospital Recast Ahead? What’s Briana Henry Doing?
Briana Henry will likely not return to the role of Jordan Ashford on General Hospital. The actress left the last year and said that “it was time for her to move on”.
Plus, Briana’s about to deliver a baby with her husband Kris Bowers. So, she’s likely not looking for a soap gig at the moment. And remember, Briana was the second actress to play Jordan Ashford.
Vinessa Antoine originated the character. She left in 2018 and Henry replaced her. The latest chatter is that Karla Mosely will now play the role.
Fans of The Bold and The Beautiful will recall she played Maya Avant there. With TJ dropping Jordan Ashford’s name, we should see her sooner rather than later. And if she remembers what Portia whispered in her ear, she could cause trouble when she returns…
