Oh, you General Hospital fan, we are sure you are just as surprised by the recent shakeup on the soap as we are. Recently, our fav soap left us all surprised when they recast one of the Davis sisters, Molly-Davis, yet AGAIN. Although Molly’s role was being played by Holiday, her short notice ended, so Brooke Anne Smith stepped in. But is she coming in for longer? Brooke Anne Smith Joins The Cast!
After seeing Haley and Holiday as Molly on General Hospital, fans must now get ready to see yet another new face for Molly Davis’ character. Brooke Anne Smith stepped into the shoes of Molly in the July 19 episode. Viewers got a voiceover announcement on July 19 that Brooke will now be playing Molly’s role. Previous actress Holiday Mia Kriegel played the character. She entered in May. Not even three months have passed, but she is out.
If you feel like you have seen Brooke somewhere before, you must have because the 39-year-old actress has been a part of numerous projects. Smith starred in the Tyler Perry series – Too Close To Home. The actress played the role of a drug-addicted sexual assault survivor and received applause. She also acted in movies such as Las Vegas and Wake Up. Brooke Anne Smith started off her acting career in 2000 in an episode of 7th Heaven and now she has joined as the new face of Molly on General Hospital. The beautiful blond also won three best performance awards in 2001 and 2002.
The Changing Faces Of Molly On General Hospital
The character of Molly Lansing-Davis was introduced in 2005 on General Hospital. Haley Pullos took over the role after her character was SORAsed in 2009. Unfortunately, very recently, Haley met a horrific car accident in April and was charged with one felony count of DUI. The authorities found edible marijuana and mini tequila bottles in her car making the crime very serious. She’s currently recovering in a rehabilitation center. Since she’s still in recovery, GH makers roped in Holiday Mia Kriegel for Molly’s role during May 22-26, 2023. But evidently, she filled in Molly’s role just for a short period.
Holiday left the soap, and Haley declared she would need a little time to recover. Therefore, it has become official that Brooke Anne Smith will take over the role of Molly from now on. Good for Smith because she has entered just when Molly is at the center of attention on GH. As Molly and TJ struggle to have a baby, this storyline has become a very prominent one. So, we wish Brooke, all the best! Speaking of which, we must wait to see if Kristina and Molly will sort out their feud on the surrogacy situation.
