General Hospital Alum Kelly Thiebaud FINALLY REUNITED With The Love Of Her Life, Introduces Him To The World
Dr. Britt’s exit storyline was so heart-wrenching on General Hospital that the mere mention of it still makes us want to reach for the tissue box. Britt succumbed to death after heroically saving Joss from The Hook Killer (Heather). But what really brought out the waterworks was the death scene, where she breathes her last in her mother’s lap. Many fans, amidst sobs, wondered what was the need to kill her off so brutally. Even if actress Kelly Thiebaud was leaving General Hospital, they could’ve written her off as moving away from Port Charles.
Well, we agree that the exit could’ve definitely worked quite alright if Britt had just moved away from Port Charles on General Hospital, just the way Britt had originally planned. However, it would not have had the same kind of impact. Dr. Britt’s heroic sacrifice of her life to save Joss will be remembered forever. Now, coming to the reason behind Kelly’s exit from the soap, it was initially believed that she was dropping out of General Hospital in favor of Station 19. However, that is not the case. Actress Kelly Thiebaud revealed that she did not do it for a project but for LOVE!
The General Hospital star had been navigating a long-distance relationship with her boyfriend for over a year. And she had started to feel the strain of the distance, thus wanting to be closer to the man she loves. After winding up her filming, Kelly packed up and jetted off to the United Kingdom. She happily announced to the world on December 22, 2022, that she was reunited with her boyfriend. Kelly posted a picture of them sporting goofy hats and wrote in the caption, “Celebrating a year of long-distance love, no more.”
A few weeks later, on February 2, 2023, The General Hospital alum took to her Instagram stories to share other wonderful news. She shared the story of how she met the man of her dreams. Kelly wrote that exactly a year ago, she started to fall in love with a man she had never met. They started talking on the phone and texted a lot. Then, on February 16, 2022, she decided to take a chance at love and flew to London to meet him. “And I’m so glad I did,” Kelly enthused.
As we can safely assume, their meeting went perfectly, and they started a long-distance relationship. While we have seen many love stories failing after a few miles got in the way, Kelly and her boyfriend are the exceptions. They have not just had miles between them but a literal ocean! Yet they managed to fall more and more in love each day. And we are so happy that our General Hospital star got the most amazing happy ending with her man!
