General Hospital Comings and Goings: Curtis Welcomes a New Ray of Hope into His Life

Previously, on General Hospital, in true soap opera fashion, Curtis decided to retract in his shell. bringing forth a full-blown lone wolf persona. All because he took a bullet that was never intended for him at the Metro Court. Unfortunately, the accident left him paralyzed. Thus, not wanting to be a burden on his family, he decided to push them away from him. Yea yea, we know, a tale as old as day! But thankfully, his self-sabotage didn’t last for too long. Thankfully, his newfound daughter, Trina, was able to get through to him and gave him hope for light at the end of the tunnel!

Now, Curtis will be heading over to a rehab center for therapy on General Hospital. Perhaps he will benefit from it and get well on his way to eventually stand on his own two feet. And that brings us to the discussion of the day! Who will be Curtis’ Physical Therapist? Who will walk Curtis cross the finish line? Well, we have the answer! And it is someone a lot of you’ll have already seen before, but not in the same role! The latest General Hospital spoilers tease that actor Mykel Shannon Jenkins will play therapist Roy and will help Curtis cope with his situation.

Interestingly, this is not the first time Mykel will appear on General Hospital. In fact, he was the proud winner of the reality TV show, I Wanna Be A Soap Star, on SOAPnet. As his prize, he won a 13 week stint on the ABC soap. Hence, in 2005 he appeared on GH as Officer Byron Murphy. Later, in 2007, he also secured a stint on CBS’ The Bold and The Beautiful as police officer Charlie Baker. However, neither of the two roles lasted for long.

However, we hope this time will be different and Mykel would get the chance to stick around for longer on General Hospital. He is no doubt a talented performer with a lot of potential. Some additional spoilers also tease that in the upcoming episodes, Portia will turn up at Curtis’ rehab center. She will be hoping to have some serious and deep conversations with him about their marriage and future. Her arrival will surely also put her in Roy’s orbit. We wonder what their interaction be like?
