General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) could be on the verge of making a startling discovery. Ava Jerome (Maura West) told Sonny how Nikolas Cassadine’s (last played by Adam Huss) body vanished, but she doesn’t have all the facts.
Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) has made Ava believe that Nikolas is deceased, so he’s been threatening her with the DNA evidence that could sink her for the crime.
In reality, Nikolas survived and is on life support under Mason’s care. That means Sonny is in for a shock once he confronts Mason and perhaps pries the truth out of him.
On GH’s July 26 episode, Sonny made a phone call and wanted someone found. Although Sonny was fine with that person being eliminated, he admitted he’d prefer if this person was brought to him alive.
It sounds like Sonny is already gearing up for a confrontation with Mason, who’s about to get a difficult lesson in intimidation tactics.
Mason thinks he’s a tough guy, but we’ll see how tough he is by the time Sonny is through with him!
Of course, Sonny may grill Mason about who his boss is and why they’re so interested in his dealings with Pikeman.
At some point during the interrogation, could Mason reveal that Nikolas is actually alive?
Sonny might demand that he be taken to comatose Nikolas so he can confirm that news for himself. If that happens, Nikolas’ life will be in Sonny’s hands.
Considering how Nikolas threatened to kidnap Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) and everything he put Ava through, Sonny may be tempted to just pull the plug on him.
After all, most of Port Charles thinks Nikolas fled to avoid criminal punishment, so Sonny might think the world would be a better place if he just took Nik out like Ava almost did.
However, Sonny could ultimately spare Nikolas for Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) sake. Nikolas isn’t a good guy, but he’s still Spencer’s father.
That might be enough to keep Nikolas alive and give him a chance to return to his family down the road.
