General Hospital alum Ryan Paevey has made the Hallmark channel his home after leaving GH. And now Ryan feels especially excited about his upcoming Hallmark movie, Under the Christmas Sky.

Scheduled for October 22, 2023, Under The Christmas Sky features Ryan Paevey and Jessica Parker Kennedy. And the Hallmark film follows highly regarded astrophysicist Kat. Scheduled for her first voyage into space, an accident leaves Kat on the ground.
But as she seeks to recognize that her space dreams need to end, Kat turns to volunteering at the local planetarium. And she meets David, assigned to work on an exhibit before Christmas. But can the magic of the stars unite the two?
Prior to Paevey’s appearance on General Hospital and the Hallmark Channel, he achieved successes as a model and jewelry designer. And Ryan shared via MSN that he delighted fans by giving them his braided bracelets right off his wrist.

But during his time playing Nathan West on General Hospital, Paevey didn’t need braided bracelets to appeal to viewers. And his “good guy” role made viewers cheer for Nathan. As a result, viewers felt shocked and dismayed when Paevey exited General Hospital in 2018.
But as he looks back, the General Hospital star defends his decision. And Ryan believes that he chose the right time to step away from the soap opera world. As he looks back, Paevey’s character came a long way since his first appearance on General Hospital in 2013.
For instance, Nathan got involved in a relationship with Maxie Jones (Kristen Storms). But though he fathered a son with Maxie, his father killed him prior to Maxie giving birth to their baby. And in his time on General Hospital, Ryan even attended his character’s funeral in 2018.

But Ryan also recalled that filming Nathan’s open-casket funeral turned into a series of challenges. And the actor tried to hide his tears amid filming. But Ryan wasn’t the only one. And the General Hospital star recalled how “these people who had become close friends of mine were, like, crying on my chest.”
However, Ryan shared that he views his exit from General Hospital as “a completely amicable situation. I mean, I owe this show so much. When GH gave me this job, I didn’t even call myself an actor — I didn’t even know if I wanted to be an actor.”
However, after filming so many TV films for the Hallmark channel, the actor believes he made the right choice. But fans still hope to see if Nathan West’s ghost would visit Port Charles. And Paevey teased that he will keep the door open for future GH opportunities!
