Meri Brown told her Instagram fans that her mom passed away “unexpectedly” at the age of 76. Certainly, she didn’t seem to have any deathly illness like cancer. And that’s where some people feel confused. If Bonnie had cancer, then it wouldn’t have been a massive shock to the family when she died so unexpectedly. So. it seems that Bonnie passed away from heart complications after she suffered from the flu.

What Did Janelle Brown’s Mom Pass Away From, Why Confusion?

Sister Wives fans saw the funeral of Janelle Brown’s mom, Sheryl. Unlike, Meri, Janelle was with her mom when she passed away ahead of the Christmas holidays. In fact, she’d struggled with her cancer for a number of years. As far as is known, she didn’t pass away from the coronavirus.

In a recent discussion on Reddit, some fans sounded confused as to whether Meri Brown’s mom died from covid, a heart attack, or cancer.  The OP asked about covid because of something that Jenelle said.

Did Meri’s mom die of Covid?
On an episode Janelle says Bonnie got sick with the “flu” and then she died a week later. Just curious is possibly she had Covid or complications related to Covid infection.

One Sister Wives fan claimed, “She had cancer and they reported that catching the flu lead to her death..”

However, that seems to be incorrect. And, other comments by TLC fans got closer to the truth.

  • Bonnie had told Meri’s sister she thought she had the flu. When her sister took her to the doctor they discovered she had had a heart attack. Bonnie died as a result of the heart attack.
  • I believe she went into the hospital with heart failure and it took her quickly from a comment Meri had made.

The flu can kill people, and untreated, it may lead to complications like heart failure. So, in conclusion, neither Meri Brown nor Janelle Brown lost their moms to covid.
