Meri wrote, “34 years ago today, I got married, 34 years ago was the start of this family that so many of you have come to love or, well, not so much.” She admitted to not anticipating a divorce in the future during her marriage with the polygamist. She continued, “I don’t regret my marriage, and I don’t regret my divorce.”
The TLC star expressed about looking back in the past to see where she could’ve done better and when she did her best. Meri felt grateful for the lessons and experiences she had during the years. She went ahead to explain that narrative she had in her mind all these years. Meri confessed, “I had the narrative in my head that if I couldn’t make my marriage work, then I was a failure.”
But now she has been thinking about what would happen if she flipped the narrative and looked at the experience to realize what she has become today. The reality TV star admitted remembering 21st April for all the lessons and experiences that she had. Further, she added, “ I will remember it as a day of a new start. A full circle moment.”
