‘VERY BITTERSWEET’ Sister Wives’ Kody Brown and wife Robyn reunite with family virtually despite tension as ex Christine hides from screen
SISTER Wives star Kody Brown has reunited with family amid major tension with his ex-wife Christine Brown, who hid off screen.
Christine recently remarried after ending her relationship with her husband in 2021.

During Sunday’s all-new episode of Sister Wives, Mykelti Brown and her husband Antonio Padron gathered the family for a gender reveal for their twins.
Kody, 54, and his only remaining wife, Robyn Brown, sat side-by-side on the video call.
Christine was live with Mykelti and Tony while Janelle Brown was with her children and Meri Brown seemingly opted not to appear.
The mom of five popped in and out of the frame, seemingly busying herself with other things or trying to hide to avoid an awkward encounter.
The family guessed what gender the twins would be, with just about everyone chiming in.
Janelle weighed in at one point in a confessional, saying: “I think it’s great that Robyn and Kody are on this call. They are a couple. I don’t have a problem with seeing them as a couple, them participating in family stuff as a couple. It’s just what it is.”
Mykelti also shared her perspective, saying: “I was really happy that even though there’s like strife and struggle they were still like, ‘Well this is still a family. We can still try to be a family.’ Which is ultimately always what I’ve wanted.”
During the show they pulled two hand-held cannons that fired blue dust into the air, revealing that they were expecting two boys.
Kody gushed in a confessional: “I’m just as excited as I would be if they were a pair of girls.”
He then discussed the video chat, admitting that it wasn’t easy for him: “This whole video chat was very bittersweet. Mostly sweet but I started out being almost in a state of paranoia with anxiety over the contempt that has been thrown my direction.”
FAMILY FEUD
Christine isn’t the only one at odds with Kody after their split.
Janelle recently had a huge falling out with her former husband on Sister Wives.
During the episode the exes sat down together in Arizona to chat about their differences.
Jenelle began, saying: “I feel like I’m being gaslit.”
Kody cut her off, chiming in with: “You’re using that because I used the term.”
His ex-wife scoffed, responding with: “Oh, I came into this conversation expecting to use that term.
“‘Cause I feel like you are constantly gaslighting me.”
Kody paused before acknowledging that there’s a “problem” in the family and “everybody thinks I’m the bad guy.”
“I don’t expect to see anybody at Christmastime. I don’t expect to see you.”
Kody and Janelle are parents to Logan, 29; Hunter, 26; Gabriel, 21; Garrison, 18; and daughters Madison, 27, and Savanah, 18.
The Brown family patriarch now has a strained relationship with each of those children.
Kody went on to claim that Janelle doesn’t “follow the rules and doesn’t take accountability.”
At that point, Janelle erupted into a fury, pointing a finger as she yelled: “Shut your f**king mouth and let me talk to your for a minute.”
“No, no, no, no,” he exclaimed, seemingly unable to handle the confrontation.
Kody got up from the sofa and began to leave.
“You keep cutting me off,” Jenelle went on.
Her ex threw his jacket and implied all of their problems were Janelle’s fault, saying: “There is only bitterness. What partnership do we have?”
“Don’t you dare point your finger at me,” Janelle hit back.
Kody began to leave the room as she grabbed his coat and demanded: “You stay and talk.”
“I’m done listening to you,” he responded.
As the fight came to an end, Janelle demanded to TLC producers: “Shut it off.”
MAKING LIGHT
Christine, for her part, appears to have mostly moved on from the awkwardness with her ex.
In October, she cracked a joke about her split from Kody on social media, leaving her fans laughing.
In the post, which was shared on her Instagram Story, Christine posted a fake movie poster inspired by The First Wives Club.
The original 1996 film starred Bette Midler, Goldie Hawn, and Diane Keaton.
In Christine’s image, however, the actresses’ names were replaced by her and her co-stars Janelle and Meri, 52.
All three had their faces superimposed over the poster.
The picture was also edited to say: “The Ex-Wives Club, rather than “First Wives.”
Over the social media post, Christine wrote: “Oh my gosh!!! I laughed my head off when I saw this!!”
Christine was the first of the three Sister Wives stars to leave the family, announcing her decision to divorce in November 2021.
