Drew died of a brain tumor, Cameron Mathison said goodbye General Hospital Spoilers

This past weekend, many gathered for Christmas Con 2023 at the New Jersey Expo Center where Hallmark favorites gathered with fans to celebrate the season. There were also some soap stars in attendance who have appeared in the network’s movies including General Hospital’s Cameron Mathison (Drew) and while fans surely were excited to meet the actor and talk about his various holiday movies, one particular question kept popping up — one that had the Port Charles star urging, “Don’t believe the rumor.”
Mathison shared an Instagram story from the event to further address the issue, and as he walked past the cheering crowd, waving and saying hello, he stated, “The number one question that I’m getting while I’m here is whether I’m leaving General Hospital. And I don’t know why there’s a rumor out there but I’m definitely not, I’m having the best time ever on GH.”
His fans likely breathed a sigh of relief and the fact that he’s staying on the ABC soap means there is surely more drama to come for Drew and Carly!
