Nicholas Alexander Chavez is best recognized as Spencer Cassadine, the illegitimate son of Prince Nikolas Cassadine (played by Adam Huss) on ABC’s long-running soap opera General Hospital.

The actor who joined the cast in 2021 and won a Daytime Emmy Award the following year is set to take a break from the show for an exciting new Netflix project.

In June, it was confirmed that Nicholas would star in the upcoming installment of Ryan Murphy’s Monster series, which made a successful debut with The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.

The 24-year-old will feature in Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, which is due to hit the streaming giant next year.

Last year, TVLine reported that Nicholas would be taking a “temporary leave of absence” from General Hospital and mentioned that there are no plans to recast his character, during his absence.

The upcoming Netflix project will delve into the infamous case of the Menendez brothers, Lyle and Erik, who were imprisoned in 1996.

The siblings were found guilty for the murders of their parents, Jose Menendez and Mary Louise “Kitty” Menendez, in 1989.

At the time, it was reportedly claimed that the murders came after years of abuse by their father.

The brothers were given life sentences without the chance of parole after being convicted of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
