General Hospital’s Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is smitten with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). However, she may cause the kingpin’s ultimate downfall on GH. Is Nina destroying the don’s life on the ABC sudser? It sure seems that way.
General Hospital: Sonny Corinthos Can’t Shake Nina Reeves
Ever since Sonny Corinthos’ time in Nixon Falls, Nina Reeves has had a hold on him. Of course, he did his best to put Nina behind him when he came home to Port Charles.
He tried to pick up where he left off with his then-wife Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). But he couldn’t shake his feelings for the Crimson editor.
And that’s what ultimately destroyed his marriage to Carly. Now, “Sona” is a happy couple on General Hospital.
But their relationship is causing Sonny’s loved ones to distance themselves from him. Little by little the mobster’s losing the people he loves. And soon, Nina Reeves might be all he has left.
Port Chuck Kingpin an Outcast on GH
Just about everyone Sonny knows is against his romance with Nina. Of course, Carly hates that her ex-husband is with the fashion mogul, recall General Hospital recaps.
But, at this point, Carly’s moving on with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). However, Sonny’s son Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) believes he choose Nina over the family.

And he can’t let it go. Michael won’t stop until his former stepfather pays for hurting his mom and destroying their family. Moreover, he’s using Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) to get dirt on the mobster.
Their end game is to send the mob kingpin to prison. Also, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) hates her ex-stepfather. And when she finds out what Michael is up to with Dex, she’ll likely want in, hint General Hospital spoilers.
Plus, Sonny’s baby mama and longtime friend Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero) hates his choices. In fact, the only people in favor of the romance are Nina’s friends and family. No one in the mafioso’s life supports them.
His other children Kristina Corinthos (Lexi Ainsworth) and detective Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) remain by his side. However, they still don’t like his new lady. And it might only be a matter of time before they turn on their dad also.
Mobster Doomed on General Hospital?
It looks like Sonny is on his way down on GH. He already admitted that Michael is making him lose business. But Mikey won’t stop there, he wants his dad powerless and behind bars, especially after what he did to Dex.

And once Dante learns that Mikey was telling the truth, he may also try to put Sonny away. PCPD cop Dante puts the law above all else, and his father is no exception. So, he could be on the bandwagon soon on General Hospital.
Indeed, it seems that Sonny’s life is falling apart piece by piece. And it all stems from his decision to be with Nina. He’s losing his family, his business, and maybe even his freedom, tease GH spoilers.
Soon, the mob boss could end up with nothing because of his girlfriend, and he could even wind up in prison on the ABC soap. Will Sonny Corinthos kick Nina Reeves to the curb before it’s too late? Watch and see.
