Mama June Calls In Hospice For Anna
In a recent clip shared on Instagram, Mama June shared that Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell asked her to contact hospice that morning. She said that she finally got the doctors to sign off on hospice and that was “the best decision” Anna made. June said that many people felt like Anna was giving up, but she simply knew that her body was tired.
Later in the video, Mama June can be seen texting sitting in a chair in Anna’s living room. From the other room, Anna can be heard asking why everything got so quiet. June asks what she can do and Anna just wants something played so it isn’t so quiet in the house.
Then, the rest of the family joins the video. Anna was surrounded by family and friends at the end. “There’s noise. It’s what Anna wanted, she wanted to be around family,” June said in the clip.
Alana Puts Drama On Hold To Grieve

As you may know, Mama June admitted to stealing thousands of dollars from her daughter. However, Pumpkin can be heard saying that they have to put their fight with June on hold.
Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell had been battling cancer for several months and, as Pumpkin reveals in the trailer, her health started to rapidly decline. Then, as a family, they had to face one of the “hardest days of their lives.”
An interview with a teary Mama June reveals that Anna passed away. Family members can be seen crying and hugging each other. “Everyone is trying to figure out how to move forward with Anna gone,” the voiceover states.
The cameras document every moment of the family’s grief and the next steps as they deal with their loss. Mama June can be seen speaking with her husband Justin Stroud about getting custody of Kaitlyn, revealing that Anna never filed any paperwork about who would have custody of her daughter after she was gone.
At the end of her life, Mama June, Pumpkin, Honey Boo Boo, and Chubbs, allowed the cameras to capture Chickadee’s last days.
