In a special episode, Sister Wives: Talk Back, the cast got together to watch the Season 18 premiere. They also responded to fans’ questions and thoughts. There were a lot but one thing that stood out was the manipulation that was going on. Read on for more details.
Sister Wives: Talk Back Reinforces Manipulation
Watching an episode and then reacting to it is not something that the Sister Wives cast has done before. They also have not publically responded to what fans have had to say about them. This was almost a chance to make up for the tell-all where the host, Sukanya Krishnan did nothing. She did not hold Kody and Robyn Brown accountable for anything. The three ex-wives watched from their own homes while Kody and Robyn were cuddled up on the couch. However, one of the most noticeable things was how miserable Robyn looked the entire time.
A Reddit thread was started to discuss how viewers felt about the special and they were frustrated. Mainly, they took issue with one person and that was Robyn. The OP wrote this:
- Watching sister wives talk back, and how Robyn interacts with Kody. I finally understand just how good she is at manipulating. No matter what he is responsible for his choices and all that has happened but wow she is very very good at playing perfect while pulling ALL the strings.
Robyn coddled Kody and all that he had done as an amazing person. Then, when he talked about Christine Brown laughing when he had Covid, Robyn, again, praised him. Not only did Redditors notice this but they also noticed her moping:
- Robyn looks so miserable… like she shouldn’t be there and she doesn’t deserve to answer anything ughh and the hair flipping nervous thing, drives me nuts
- Oh yes. How she kissed his a** about the being sick with Covid – Yes, Kody, YOU DID EVERYTHING and you were at death’s door, but you climbed Mt. Everest for the fam’lee.
- I feel like she was just said what she thought made her look good
Kody’s Broken Heart & Missed Chances
Many Sister Wives fans were upset that they missed the special episode, mainly because it was on a different night and a special time. It also was not streaming which made things even more stressful. However, Redditors also noticed that Kody Brown lamented his lost love with Christine. He noted how: “it’s painful/hard watching someone you used to love sit there and trash talk you.” He really does speak out of both sides of his mouth but he always has. Ultimately, fans were frustrated with them for doing what they had done for several seasons which is to play the victim.
