Kody Brown didn’t hesitate when it came to commenting about Christine’s dating life. He assumed that she must have badmouthed him to David Woolley to make it seem like she had left a notorious man. To explain this further, he also brought up Robyn. She was previously monogamous and married to David Jessop before joining the plural family.
So, Kody said how he vetted for Robyn and found out how she didn’t leave a “good man” to be with him. After this reveal, Sister Wives viewers began to analyze this scene on Reddit quite closely. They came to the conclusion that Kody must have used the same way to see if Janelle was fitting to join the plural family or not. What many must not know is that she and Meri were previously related before they married Kody.
Apparently, Janelle was previously married, too, and it was to Meri’s brother, Adam Barber. So, after realizing Kody deemed Robyn’s ex to be a bad man, he must have done the same to his second wife’s former husband, too. But in the Tell All, Kody didn’t directly speak about Adam, ever. Yet his ways of choosing his wives again upset the Sister Wives fans, and they began to shun him more than ever.

Ever since Sister Wives fans began to discuss Meri’s Brother, Adam Barber, on Reddit, many began to wonder if he appeared on the show or not. Well, the answer is no. But Janelle did open up about her previous marriage in the family’s book, “Becoming Sister Wives: The Story of an Unconventional Marriage.” There, she mentioned that her and Adam’s beliefs varied.
Janelle only found out about it after tying the knot with Adam, and they separated after six months. Since then, there has been no trace of him. None of the castmates also mentioned him. But Meri was the one who gave everyone a very unfortunate news through her Instagram handle.
Meri made a post and shared pictures from Adam’s funeral. Her near and dear ones celebrated his love for America, Mickey, and the Dodgers.
