Sister Wives star Meri Brown recently announced that she needs a date. During a recent Friday with Friends St Patrick’s Day edition, the former wife of TLC’s Kody Brown let her fans know that she is putting herself back on the dating market. So, does this mean she will finally move on from her ex?
Sister Wives: Is Meri Brown Ready to Face the Facts?
Meri Brown of Sister Wives is ready to jump back into the dating pool, sort of. The reality television personality told her followers that she would soon attend a 1980’s themed prom.
It will take place on her close friend Jenn Sullivan’s birthday. She also added that Jenn decided that she wants to auction her off as part of a fundraiser.
So, Meri laughed and said to her followers, “I guess I need a date for the fundraiser.” The Sister Wives alum appears as if she is partly joking, but some of her fans believe it is time for her to get back out into the dating world.
It has been a long time since Meri Brown dated. Now fans hope she is finally ready to face the fact that things are over between her and Kody and move on.
TLC Star Looking for Love After Ugly Split?
Meri was legally married to Kody from 1990 – 2014. Later Meri says Kody convinced her to file for divorce. This was so he could marry his fourth and now only wife Robyn Brown.
This was so he could adopt Robyn’s children. The former spouse says she agreed to the divorce because she thought she would remain his spiritual wife.
However, as Sister Wives viewers know life did not turn out as planned for her. Or her former co-wives Christine Brown and Janelle Brown, who each have also split from Kody. But it was Meri who seemed to be surprised the most over the events of Season 17.
She says as far as she is concerned, she and Kody remained spiritually married until last year when they officially announced their split. She had been with Kody for 32 years and was heartbroken by their breakup.
Despite everything she remained hopeful that they might one day reconcile. But now she accepts that ship has sailed. Her friends and family want her to put it behind her and find someone new.
Sister Wives: Meri Lashes Out After Fans Accuse Her of Being Drunk
Sister Wives star was happy-go-lucky during Friday with Friends until one follower began to question her sobriety again. They want to know if she was just that happy, or if she is drunk.
She assures the commenter that she was indeed just “that happy.” She then explains that some people can enjoy themselves without alcohol, and said she is one of them.

However, her denial and explanation did not stop the comments and questions, and fans say from the looks, on both Jenn and Meri’s faces, they seemed irritated.
This is not the first time the Sister Wives fans suggest she is drunk. In January, fans began to question her sobriety on social media where she was reportedly slurring and acting erratically.
Meri Brown tells her fans there is no need for concern and assures them all is well in her life. But some of her followers continue to question if she uses alcohol or some other substance as a crutch as she works through her split from Kody. Could these accusations deter a potential new partner?
Some fans believe it is a good idea for the Sister Wives celebrity to date. They say once she finds someone new, she will finally put her past life behind her and move forward.
