Sister Wives star Kody Brown says he “knows” ex-wife Janelle Brown “wasn’t in love” with him during their 30-year marriage.
The now viral clip shows the 53-year-old discussing his relationship with Janelle, and he has sparked a serious backlash after claiming she was only using him for sex. “She asked to be in the family, for whatever reasons…,” Kody began, as he was asked by host Sukanya Krishnan if he thought Janelle loved him. “No, she was attracted to me,” he firmly replied.
“I know she wasn’t in love with me,” he added, while shaking his head. “Janelle’s not in love with me, I think she thinks I’m hot -I got nice pecs and great six-pack abs – but that’s all she’s interested in.”

Later in the clip, Janelle was grilled over her attraction to Kody, and she revealed there was “definitely physical compatibility” between the two of them. She then said she had kept details of their sex life secret, and “didn’t go around blabbing about it”, but cheekily joked that she would “hint at it”.
“Everything was very good in that department,” she coyly shared. However, when asked about Kody’s assertion that she did not love him, despite them being together for 30 years, she laughed: “Could you believe that? It’s not what it’s about for me, it’s about emotional connection for me.”
In the comments on the post, shared on the official Instagram page of TLC, fans of the show furiously defended Janelle. “Can’t see no six pack or abs there,” one quipped. “looks like he’s been drinking six packs!!!!” another joked.

Last year, Janelle announced she had separated from Kody, and confessed they had been living apart for several months. The couple tied the knot in 1993 and share six adult children together – Logan, 28, Madison, 27, Hunter, 25, Garrison, 24, Gabriel, 21, and Savannah, 18.
Kody was also spiritually married to Christine Brown, Meri Brown and Robyn Brown for most of his marriage to Janelle, but as of now, he has only one remaining wife – Robyn. Since news of their split broke, Janelle said she was “really happy” to have left, and said she became so indifferent that she “didn’t care anymore”.
“I’ve kind of mourned that that part of our life is gone,” she shared. “I wasn’t heartbroken. It wasn’t heartbreaking for me like it was for Christine [Brown]. It was just kind of like, I just mourned that that life was gone…. We had this great run,” she said during a Sister Wives special. “I know I’m happy, I don’t want him to come back,” she stated.
