Sister Wives: Kody Brown Amuses Himself
At one time, Kody Brown couldn’t do enough to draw attention to himself for the sake of fame. He admitted that he liked fans recognizing him while out in public.
But he said that when he went out in his car a while back, he was approached by fans asking who he was. Instead of his own name, Kody gave another celebrity’s name.
He didn’t explain why he did this but seemed to find it amusing as he chuckled telling the story. So, it looks like Kody Brown may enjoy confusing Sister Wives fans for fun.
Or there’s always that chance that he didn’t want to hear what fans might say when learning his identity. After all, he’s the man known for showcasing polygamy on reality TV. Only he’s had three of his four marriages fail.
Papa Brown Hangs out With Top Down
It seemed the father of 18 once enjoyed getting recognized by the Sister Wives fans. So much so that that he rode around in a convertible with the top down.
That way, when Sister Wives fans pulled alongside him, they could see his famous face. But somehow, that changed for the man who made an entertainment experience out of plural marriage.
While fans bashed Kody Brown for a while now, it seems that over the last few Sister Wives seasons, it got worse. It appears his behavior towards his wives tends to bring more criticism than ever before

So Who Does Kody Brown Pretend to Be When Chatting with Sister Wives Fans?
Kody gets a kick out of people telling him he looks like Sammy Hagar. So, it seems this is the name he used when some fans asked who he was. He said fans pulled up next to him and seemed to recognize his face. It sounds like he was in his convertible at the time.
They then asked him who he was. Kody Brown said he told them he was Sammy Hagar, who’s famous for being part of the band Van Halen. The above left photo shows Hagar — and that’s Kody on the right.
Sammy Hagar’s hit song, I Can’t Drive 55, is something Kody also mentions as he drives around town with his top down. So, maybe Kody wanted to avoid any backlash as the Sister Wives patriarch.
But then again, maybe he just wanted to play a joke and see if he could get away with it. With his sunglasses on and the ringlets flying in the wind, Kody does resemble the rock legend — or so some fans suggest.
So, it looks like Kody Brown played rock star for the day. Maybe it was only to break up the monotony of daily life. Either way, this TLC reality star said he successfully pulled it over on the unsuspecting fans.
