Meri, 53, shared a photo of herself on her IG profile as she looked off into the distance with a smile on her face and her makeup touched to perfection.

The TLC star donned a plunging purple shirt with a black leather jacket on top while accessorizing with two gold necklaces.

To caption her post, she shared a few lengthy paragraphs – seemingly about her split from her ex-boyfriend, Amos Andrews, 55.

“Last week, I had to face some hard truths and have some difficult conversations. Just because I care a lot about someone, and him me, does not equate to full compatibility for a long-term relationship.

“When we have different dreams and aspirations, different communication styles and values, different visions for our futures, and these things aren’t aligning, it’s then that we need to make hard decisions.

“It’s a strange and sad thing to care about someone so deeply, to look beyond their past, because heaven knows we all have one, to see the kindness in their eyes and their giving heart, and still know that a life long relationship isn’t in the cards for you.

“I honor and care about the past four months, who I spent it with, and what I learned about myself through it. I know what’s important to me in a relationship, and I’m confident in myself while I’m single as well,” she continued.

Kody Brown’s former wife concluded by expressing her excitement for her road ahead including “new opportunities, adventures, and the confidence of continued personal growth” and plans to prioritize herself.

To show support for Meri, fans flooded the comment section with praises and well wishes.

One wrote, “I’m glad that you have the resilience and strength to recognize what’s good for you. You know your worth. You spent a long time trying to fit in with someone else’s vision of life. Stay strong and take your time. Love will come.”

“I’m sorry that you have to explain yourself when hundreds of thousands of people, every day, go through the same dating process and don’t have to answer to anyone. You do you and I pray that you find the best person for you, eventually,” a second pointed out.

A third commented, “I applaud you for your honesty. You’re helping so many other women by sharing your story. Stay strong and true to yourself.”

WHAT HAPPENED

Meri introduced her social media to Amos back in January – but faced major backlash.

Amos has been accused of refusing to pay child support to his second wife, The U.S. Sun exclusively revealed.

One of Amos’ four ex-wives spoke to The U.S. Sun about his alleged “controlling” behavior and “obsession” with reality stars.

Then, in new court documents obtained by The U.S. Sun, more was revealed about Amos’ past and his relationship with his second wife, Shannon Marie Martin.

They were married in Las Vegas on February 18, 1995 – when he was 26 and she was 18 – and welcomed a daughter together two years later.

Shannon filed for divorce in Arizona on August 16, 2000, and the couple has since been embroiled in a nasty child support battle.

Amos was ordered to pay Shannon $373 per month in child support beginning February 1, 2001, and lasting until Tiffany’s 18th birthday.

However, over the next 12 years, Amos’ ex-wife claimed he failed to adhere to court orders.

In August 2013, Shannon went back to court to file a petition to modify custody/legal decision-making, parenting time, and child support.

Shannon alleged: “The father did not make consistent child support payments from the time of divorce in 2001 until his wages were garnished in 2008.

“The 7 years of arrears total approximately $10,000 for which the father currently pays only $125 per month through wage garnishment.”

She continued: “The father has been difficult to reach, and frequently changed phone numbers, mailing addresses, and email addresses without informing the mother, sometimes multiple times a year.”

She explained that all of this accounted for her not being able to collect child support and request payment for his share of expenses.

Shannon also alleged in the court docs that he had “refused to contribute to the child’s expenses for daycare, medical/dental/vision, and education,” for the past 12 years, and that she paid for “every extra-curricular school activity, medical appointment, counseling, braces, glasses, contacts, etc.”

Shannon informed the court that in addition to paying for expenses for Tiffany, she also had three other children under the age of 10.

MERI SPEAKS OUT

On Friday, Meri posted a new video on social media with a friend revealing her new single status.

About 15 minutes into the video, she revealed the upsetting reason why she and Amos called it quits.

Meri claimed that after she announced her relationship, some of her followers started “going crazy.”

She said: “Y’all went crazy and you had to dig into everything. Everything.

“Make stuff up, find truth, merge them together, make these crazy stories, and try to make somebody look bad.”

She went on to explain that it was a lot for Amos to handle because he wasn’t used to the limelight.

Then, she confirmed that she and Amos officially broke up last week after “a bunch of discussions.”

Meri also mentioned that breaking up with him was a “huge bummer, especially when you really care for someone.”

“He’s a good person, we’re just not each other’s long-term person,” she concluded.
