Meri Brown Sides with Robyn & Kody Brown in Sister Wives’ New Season
As last season of the plural marriage show wrapped, Meri Brown was stunned as Kody’s third wife packed him out of her life. That was just the teaser because the ugly reality of their split plays out in Sister Wives Season 17, which debuts in two weeks.
In a lot of ways, Meri’s in the same boat as Christine Brown. Their shared husband knocked them both off his bedroom rotation. So, they were not living as a true polygamist family. Kody’s issues with Meri tie back to the catfish scandal (and what led to it).
With Christine, it seems to be a slow erosion of their love rather than a big event like with wife #1. Despite these commonalities, Meri sided with Robyn and Kody as the family took sides on Sister Wives.
It’s evident that Janelle Brown (another one left off the bedroom calendar) is in Christine’s camp. And her husband’s not pleased. But Meri’s also made clear that she’s sticking with Kody, despite them having no marriage to speak of left either.
First Wife Delivers Punches – Will She Speak out in TLC Season 17?
You can see from the photo below that Meri Brown’s got boxing gloves on and is ready to deliver some blows. So, what’s got Meri in a fighting stance? Is it her husband? Maybe it’s the Sister Wives’ hubby she imagines as she pummels the bag.
Meri’s ready to box thanks to a recent business retreat and bonding activity there. She was attending an event by Danielle Delgado, who coaches entrepreneurs. Meri said there, “I boxed for the first time”. But she said she didn’t get “the point” of the exercise at first.
She asked Danielle if they’re supposed to envision “someone while boxing?”. If she said yes, you might imagine Kody’s first wife picturing his face on the heavy bag. Instead, her coach said, “No, you’re fighting for yourself”.
Then, the first of the Sister Wives said can “get behind” that and then talked about her support system and goals. She said she’s “open to next steps”. But if you’re a fan of hers hoping to see her also walk out of the Brown plural family, it doesn’t seem like she will.
What’s Next for Meri in Wake of Family Split on Sister Wives?
Watching the promos for Season 17 of the Brown family reality show, Meri Brown has a small presence. The bulk of the trailer centers on Kody shrieking, Robyn crying, Janelle fussing, and Christine making accusations.
However, Meri Brown does have a couple of very noteworthy lines in the new Sister Wives trailer. Talking about the split and wife who’s leaving, she said, “I felt like Christine was more than a sister wife”. She said, “she was a friend for a lot of years”.
Doesn’t that sound like it’s in the past tense? It almost seems like when Meri Brown sided with her husband and wife four that it caused a rift. Are she and Christine no longer friends? With her new boxing skills, maybe everyone should watch out!
