Meri and Christine had been open about their deteriorating bonds with Kody. Soon, their sex lives also became non-existent as tensions in their marriage increased. Janelle Brown has become really candid on Sister Wives Season 18 about her relationship with Kody Brown. Fans already know they will separate, as the former had already opened up about the same in the previous Tell All. As the events of early 2022 are unfolding in the series, fans are getting to see Janelle and Kody’s marriage crumbling apart.

Amidst this, Janelle made a shocking statement that made fans gasp. She said how it felt like she was in a “friends with benefits” kind of relationship with Kody. Viewers know how Christine and Meri had complained about a lack of intimacy with Kody when their bonds suffered. So, they had assumed Janelle must be going through something similar.

But the Sister Wives star’s statement proved that it clearly wasn’t the case. Hence, viewers could make sense of why Janelle was in such a dilemma about separating from Kody. Earlier, she had stated missing him on her bed. But that reason wasn’t enough for her to want to reconcile with the polygamist.

At the same time, Kody arrogantly responded to the same by claiming his second wife only wanted him for his body. Janelle also reacted to this shocking claim, stating there is much more to a marriage than just physical attraction, and her partner “missed the boat” with his statement. Because of these instances, fans again got a hint that Kody and Janelle often get intimate.

Janelle and Kody Brown have had some intense fights in Sister Wives Season 18. Things got really bad when both were unwilling to understand each other’s side. The former also dropped the f-bomb on the latter when he decided to walk away. He didn’t stop even when she tried pulling his jacket. But soon, Janelle had a change of heart, and she decided to spend her birthday with Kody.

The Sister Wives castmate took to her confessional to reveal why she decided to do so. Janelle admitted that things with Kody weren’t looking up. They were so disconnected that the polygamist refused to make time for their daughter, Savannah. While Janelle was hurt, she thought that if she kept all these “superficial” things aside, she’d be able to have fun with her estranged husband.

So, when Kody called Janelle and made plans to spend her birthday together, she said yes. She said it would be better than “sitting at home and watching TV.” But, since the mother of six is a realist, she knew spending time together would not fix her and Kody’s bond. So, she still had her mind set on separating from him.
